Grächen-Rundtour

This fantastic enduro tour rides from Grächen towards the Seetalhorn and then on long single trails via Stalden to Visp.

Description

The tour starts in the village of Grächen, which can initially be reached from Visp by train to St. Niklaus and then by post bus. From the village center, follow the small road to the small mountain lake and then climb up to Hannigalp and continue over the Stafel almost to the Seetalhorn mountain station. At the crossroads directly below the mountain station, head downhill to Platja and follow a challenging trail down to Riederwald. Above Gasenried, follow a trail on the right along a bisse (water pipe) through the Grächenwald forest to Bärgji high above the Mattertal valley. Passing the Hohtschugge, you reach the main road to Saas Fee via a challenging trail through the Äbiberg, which is very steep in places. The singletrail continues to the bridge below Stalden. Here you climb a few meters in the village and then follow the Vispa to Visp.

Shuttles: Take the first ascent with the gondola lift to Hannigalp

A tough, steep climb over the ski slopes but well worth it. The trail is mega, especially now with the Indian summer. Positively surprised by this tour. There are two road closures, the beginning of Suone Eggeri and the construction site in Stalden. Bypass is no problem
