Kragenjoch
Description
The route starts in Wörgl. From here, you meander along the cycle path towards Kundl. The ascent begins in the Kundl gorge area. A gravel road with a gradient of up to 15 percent leads over the Kragen-Niederalm to the so-called Kragenjoch (1425 meters above sea level). The last few meters have to be mastered by pushing before you reach the open meadow on the plateau from the wooded area. The view to the south of the Kitzbühel Alps and the Wildschönau is magnificent in good weather, as is the downhill. In the upper section at S1 level, this rides up to the Achentalalm. Now a few meters in altitude are briefly lost on the forest road, before the route continues at Boarstadl on difficulty levels S1 to S2 to Oberau. From Oberau there is another transfer route in the direction where you finally turn into the "Schöne Aussicht Trail" and follow this to the starting point. Logging work has been carried out in the upper section in particular, which now offers a stunning panoramic view of the Inn Valley. All in all, this is a day-long mountain bike tour that shows the best side of the trail both technically and culinary.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
