Pass da Costainas (Scuol)

Description

From Scuol, take the road up through the Val S-charl to the mountain village of the same name. The route continues unabated uphill on a lovely alpine road parallel to the wild mountain stream. Finally you reach Alp Astras, where the 250-metre climb to Fuorcla Funtana da S-charl begins. The ascent pays off with the subsequent singletrail descent through Valbella. This leads down to the Ofen Pass. For the way back towards the Lower Engadine, you climb up to Alp da Munt and reach the first-class trail down to Alp Champatsch. A steep gravel road now leads up to the Pass da Costainas, where the legendary trail rides through the Legeföhren back to Alp Astras. The route now leads back to Scuol along the ascent route.

Rode the tour today. Everything open. Really beautiful scenery.
The trail through Valbella is really exposed at the bottom, riding mistakes are unforgivable, so we pushed a good bit.
The trail at the end of the tour to Scuol becomes more of a gravel cart track after a short time.
All in all, a very beautiful tour due to the landscape.

Well, the scenery is amazing.
The trail through Valbella is great. But otherwise very subdued. For so many vertical meters and pushing passages, there should be more cool trails. Especially from S-Charl to Scuol is nothing.
