Chiesa Sant’Osvaldo
Description
The route starts in the small town of Aldeno. From here, the route literally starts with the attribute "no mercy for the calf". An extremely steep, historic path winds its way along the rock faces up to La Peschiéra. E-mountain bikers will get their money's worth here, although only the most fit biobikers will be able to tackle this uphill. From La Peschiéra, you wind your way on asphalt to the small village of Garniga Terme and then a few meters up to the Chiesa Sant'Osvaldo. On the plateau, there is a fantastic panoramic view to the north, east and into the Adige Valley. Especially in spring and autumn, in combination with the sugared mountains and the sparse vegetation, the scenery is fantastic.
The downhill starts right by the church. Initially on S1, it briefly changes to a forest road and continues with difficulty S1 to S2 back to La Peschiéra. Here you have a short ascent of just under 50 meters before the real descent begins. The difficulty is always increasing from S1 to S2 and from the viewing bench onwards it is S3 to S4 all the way back to the starting point. Countless hairpin bends have to be mastered here in combination with loose ground and a very steep incline, making the trail a real trail show. One second of carelessness is enough to take your foot off the pedal. The last few meters to the village run along a historic feeder path along the Torrente Arione and finally end at the starting point.
