Flurinaweg Scuol | Ride MTB

Flurinaweg Scuol

The Flurinaweg is one of the most beautiful downhill routes in Scuol, but is also popular with hikers and families. With consideration and a cautious riding style, the tour, which runs through the entire Motta Naluns area, is pure mountain biking fun.

Description

The tour starts on the road from Scuol to Ftan, passes the picturesque mountain village and continues up to Alp Laret. Now the singletrail fun begins: a high-level trail takes you to Prui, you reach the Motta Naluns mountain station on an alpine road and from here you head into the actual descent. This begins at the valley station of the chairlift and then rides through a section of forest with a few sharp hairpin bends. Finally you reach Flöna, where the Flurinaweg begins. This winds its way through the Val Clozza, sometimes with tight hairpin bends, but all of them are easy to ride. The route is confusing in places, so a cautious riding style is called for so as not to frighten any pedestrians. The descent ends in the middle of the village center of Scuol.

This and the trail over the Fuorcla Champatsch are the highlights in Scuol. The Flurinaweg is only steep and difficult at the start, but gradually becomes easier. The hairpin bends are mostly rollable except for the few at the top. Fantastic trail for experienced MTB riders.

For dessert - after the Alp Clünas tour - we took the cable car up and enjoyed the descent. well, it's difficult without a rear wheel offset. And the start of the trail is not without its difficulties either. The descent is very cool for good technicians:-]

Very nice tour! We did it with an e-MTB and comfortably rode up the climb in eco mode; pleasantly even gradient and beautiful landscape. The high trail was easy to ride, you only had to dismount briefly at a few boulders. The single trail down is a blast! I had to dismount at a few hairpin bends, but it's definitely worth it. Lots of roots, which means it gets difficult in the wet. PS. Battery level at the end 40%

Tour done by e-bike starting from Scuol. Very nice up to Alp Laret but you need to be in pretty good shape. Luckily we were able to charge the batteries there. The route to Motta Naluns is nice so far, but the short trail is more rideable in the other direction, as there is almost no room to pedal on the narrow path. The Traib from the station was hardly rideable for us. Far too steep and difficult. Under no circumstances should it be rated with 3 points out of 6. Fortunately, we were able to turn off onto the path after the halfway point (almost only pushing) and shorten the tour. We think it's more for very experienced bikers who already have a lot of mountain experience.

After about a third (at the Flöna junction) the trail is unfortunately closed due to danger!

The Flurina Trail was made suitable for baby carriages in summer 2019. It is also a themed trail with various posts for children/families. Therefore probably only suitable for bikers to a limited extent.

Make sure you take a break at Alp Laret. The food is very good - price and performance are definitely right :)

A great tour. With a technically exciting descent. Tip: take the post bus to F'tan to save a few meters in altitude.
