The tour starts in Riva del Garda and takes you up the Ponale road to the old Ponale coffee shop. Now turn onto the old road towards Pregasina and continue winding along the gravel road to the Punta Larici viewpoint at almost 900 meters above sea level. An indescribable panorama awaits you, as well as one of the craziest trails on Lake Garda: the Fire Brigade Trail. With the number 122, it gives you just enough chance to warm up your brakes at the top, after which it's time for the experts to "hold on tight". Hairpin bends, followed by steep ramps, loose ground and daring trail passages set the tone for the next 900 meters in altitude. There is no time to take a deep breath, no time to release the brakes and no refreshment stops. From now on, you are on your own and fight your way through one of the most bizarre landscapes on the lake until you reach the main road between Limone and Riva. The trail is rated S4 in difficulty throughout. All in all, it is probably the most challenging trail on Lake Garda and should only be completed if you are in good physical condition and have sufficient reserves of strength and stamina. Once you reach the bottom, it's a slightly less spectacular ride along the western shore of Lake Garda back to Riva.
