The tour starts in Torbole after a hearty breakfast, which is a must on this tour. From here, the seemingly endless mountain road up to Monte Altissimo (2079 meters above sea level) climbs almost 2000 meters in one go. From Malga Casina there are some tempting trail cut-offs, but you have to show iron will and keep pedaling. The last 300 meters of altitude from Monte Varagna can then only be partially ridden, the rest is done by pushing or carrying. At the summit there is probably the best panorama around Lake Garda and a few meters away there is also a refreshment stop at the Rifugio.

For the trail descent, take the southern path in the direction of Bocca di Navene over Monte Laste. On difficulty S2, in places S3, you descend to Bocca di Navene. Continue along the 634 path to Dosso del Merlo (level S2). You surf down this section with the same level of difficulty before arriving back in civilization in Navene after more than 2000 Elevation loss. For those who still want to cool off, a dip in the water is recommended in the summer months, followed by a few kilometers along the coastal road to Torbole, where the smell of pizza and coffee tickles the nose and can be consumed with a clear conscience.
