You could hardly experience the region between Lake Garda and Lake Ledro more beautifully. The tour starts from Torbole to Riva. In Riva, the route takes you along an ultra-steep paved path, passing close to the famous Bastione. You then ride along the historic "Strada della Pinza" up to Campi. But don't be fooled by the word "Strada". In fact, this is a washed-out gravel road on which the "Adrenalina" Kamikaze downhill race was held in the early 90s. And we ride this board uphill! From Campi it becomes a little more comfortable, although still steep. At lofty heights, you then traverse along the flanks of the twin mountains Cima d'Oro and Cima Pari on Sentiero 413. Here you are above the tree line and have tremendous views down into the Sarca Valley to the north and Lake Garda to the south. The path up here rides over steps and rocks with some steep climbs, but becomes increasingly flowy as you continue towards Bocca di Saval. Shortly before the saddle, you pass an old military post from the First World War.
The Bocca di Saval saddle is the highest point of the tour - ideal for taking a break and enjoying the view. If you want a distant view, you can climb a few meters on foot and look in all directions from Dos da Trat.
From Bocca di Saval, the route leads along a picture-book single trail past Malga Saval and down via Sentiero 454 to Pieve on Lake Ledro. The trail is challenging, partly exposed and peppered with high steps and blocked rock passages. On the single trail scale, the descent is rated S2 - with some S3 passages. A trail for experienced singletrail bikers. From Lake Ledro, you can either ride along the south side of the lake to Molina and then take the old Ponale road back to Riva (see track). Or you can combine the tour with another ascent in the direction of Pregasina and the various downhill options back to Riva (or Torbole).
