Cima Sat
Description
The tour starts in Riva del Garda, with a relatively steep and challenging ascent towards Torrione Sani Giovanni (441 meters above sea level). Here you can already enjoy a fantastic panorama towards Riva and Arco. The route continues via Pinza to Campi and then along the forest road towards Bocca Giumella (1410 meters above sea level). The route now follows an old military path on hilly terrain, partly uphill and partly downhill to Cima Sat (1276 meters above sea level), the most panoramic point of the tour. This vantage point offers a tremendous view over the entire northern part of Lake Garda, the Valle del Sarca, Trento and Rovereto, as well as the surrounding mountains. The climbers and alpinists also look slightly surprised when they meet mountain bikers here, as the tour is not quite standard.
As far as the descent is concerned, it is essential to choose the right route here, otherwise you will end up on a via ferrata. For us it goes to Bochet dei Concoli and from here on towards Bocca d'Enzima. The difficulty is between S2 and S3, but you need to be free from vertigo. The route is quite exposed in places and follows a breathtaking line down the rock face. From Bocca d'Enzima, the trail runs mostly at S2 level towards Bastione and also crosses the downpipes of the hydroelectric power station in Riva, from which the water from Lake Ledro is drained. Now the trail monster rears up once again and finally you are spat out at an altitude of 70 meters above sea level in Riva del Garda. A look back towards Santa Barbara and the rock faces of the Cima Sat makes you marvel and briefly wonder whether and how you could conquer this mountain - historical paths make it possible.
