Trentino Cross

Lago di Pian Palù (Val di Sole)

Adamello, Brenta, Garda: this triad combines the greatest highlights of Trentino. On this four-day tour, you ride from the 2700-metre-high "Smuggler's Pass" through the Brenta and the unknown Valli Giudicarie to the lake.

Description

The four-day Trans Trentino starts -&nbspwith a train ride! It's best to leave the car in Trento and take the local train via Mezzocorona through the Val di Non and Val di Sole to the terminus in Mezzana. This is where the first bike stage begins - with a leisurely ride on cycle paths through the upper Val di Sole to the Tonale pass, which can be seen from afar. On day two, the route climbs 800 meters in altitude to the Passo dei Contrabbandieri (400 m of climbing). After the fascinating traverse to Refugio Bozzi and the short ascent to Montozzoscharte, the dream downhill to Lago di Pian Palù awaits. In the afternoon, you take the cable car to Rifugio Solander and cruise along easy forest trails to the stage finish in Madonna di Campiglio. Stage three takes you deep into the Brenta, to the Rifugio Vallesinella, and then up to the beautiful "Bear Pass". After a seemingly endless descent, you end at the Ponte del Lisan, the gateway to the Valli Giudicarie. At the end of the day, just under 300 (caustic) meters of asphalt await. The hardest at the end! The fourth and final stage is also the longest, the one with the most elevation gain and the most strenuous. But it rewards you with a mega-classic. A few minutes after the start, you pass the Bondo war cemetery and a few kilometers further on the ex Forte Larino. After the first few kilometers of rolling in on asphalt, you leave the main road shortly after Pieve di Bono and follow an inconspicuous military road that rides up to the unknown Passo di Giovo and back down towards Lake Ledro. After three days in the unknown, western part of Trentino, you return to familiar regions. Many Lake Garda fans know the asphalt road up to the Bocca di Trat by heart. Down to a well-deserved dip in Lake Garda following in Moser's footsteps.
