Cima Tuflungo
Description
The tour starts right at Lake Ledro. From here, you ride steadily uphill along the north side toward Bocca dei Fortini, first on asphalt and later entirely on gravel. While this well-known climb holds few surprises, it evokes vivid memories of Lake Garda’s mountain biking history. The route continues to Passo Nota and over the legendary southern ramp of the Tremalzo Road to Passo di Gatón. This is where the rideable section ends, so you’ll need to push your mountain bike toward Cima Tuflungo. The view from the summit is particularly impressive in the fall and spring thanks to the clear air, evoking that typically epic feeling that makes the region so unique.
The descent is just as spectacular. With a difficulty rating of S2 on the single-track scale, the route runs along the ridge and features several hairpin turns that are perfect for getting into the groove. This is followed by the actual trail descent back to Lake Ledro, which becomes technically easier as it progresses. The tour comes full circle on the southern shore of Lake Ledro. An important note for all e-mountain bikers: The tour can be easily managed with a lightweight e-mountain bike, as there are a few sections near the summit where you’ll need to push your bike.
