Tremalzo
Description
The tour starts in Riva del Garda. Strengthened with a good breakfast, the route then climbs up to Biacesa via the Ponale road, which is scenic, historic and impressive. From Biacesa, take the road towards Leano and pedal moderately at first, then steeply and steadily uphill to the small village. From here to Passo Guil, the motto is: no mercy for the calves. At Passo Guil, you join the Tremalzo military road and pedal steadily uphill via Bocca dei Fortini and on over Passo Nota through the galleries to Passo Tremalzo. A breathtaking road was cut into the southern mountain flanks here during the First World War, and today this road offers a breathtaking impression. Once you have reached the high point of the tour, you can stop for refreshments at the Rifugio Passo di Tremalzo and enjoy the breathtaking panorama and beautiful landscape.
At this point, the trail descent towards Val Marza begins. The 222 trail with difficulty level S3 winds its way down the rock faces. Continue towards Bocca di Fobia, taking the path to the right into Val Prá delle Noci. From Val Prá delle Noci, the difficulty changes again and again and remains at S3 level. Then it's time to take a short rest by rolling down the Valle San Michele and taking the transfer route towards Vesio. A breathtaking trail descent returns to the area and conjures up a smile for touring and enduro bikers. Enduro bikers a smile on their face. From Vesio, the route then heads towards Val Pura, returning to Limone at S3 level. In Limone, you have the option of cycling back to Riva along the lakeside road or taking the boat. If you choose the road option, you should carry lights on your bike, as the route runs through poorly lit galleries in places.

I rode this tour on 08.07.2025.
The thunderstorms of the last few weeks have taken their toll on the trail. In various places, there is no difference between the trail and the stream....... I was also out on my own and don't want to imagine what would happen if....... Partly no mobile network and extremely few people.
Basically a very nice, difficult enduro tour!
A real Lake Garda highlight! The trail in the first half in particular is well above S3 in places, although a fairly large proportion is S2 or below. It's probably constantly changing due to the weather (like so many trails here). When the stream is riding with a lot of water, the many crossings are also not easy. I'm probably not the only one who is often out and about alone. It's worth noting that almost nobody gets lost on this trail and, if the worst comes to the worst. In my opinion, the best comes at the end. The last trail to Limone is simply amazing!
