Monte Ranzo
Description
The route starts at the historic village of Castel Toblino on Lake Toblino. From here, the route winds relatively steeply, but on asphalt and concrete, through the woods over the Val Busa to Ranzo. At Ranzo, you cross the typical Italian village and reach the mountain road with a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Toblino and the surrounding mountains, then turn left towards Margone and on to Malga di Gazza or Malga di Ranzo. From this point, it gets really steep. E-mountain bikers have a clear advantage here in terms of mastering the gradient. The further up you go, the steeper the road becomes. Extreme views of the Brenta Dolomites, the Adamello group and the surrounding mountains are particularly noticeable from the saddle. The eternally long ridge at an altitude of almost 1900 meters above sea level is crossed before you reach the highest point of the tour, Monte Ranzo. A fantastic place, nestled in the middle of a gigantic mountain world, also offers a strong descent. At the beginning, you surf down the entire ridge on S1 with an insane view as far as Lake Garda. From the saddle, the route continues on difficulty S2 to S3 on the Sentiero Sant'Antonio to Margone. From Margone, take a thoroughbred, historic S3 trail to the panoramic road. Take this back to Ranzo and enjoy the last classic trail through Val Busa. At Val Busa, you then pass historic power station buildings, taking the trail towards Sarche on difficulty levels S2 to S3 and finally becoming easier on S1. The way back is then very idyllic along the Lago di Toblino lake back to the starting point.
