Tour database: Ride says "Servus" & "Buongiorno" in May

Here is the overview of the newly recorded ride tours in May 2025. A total of 29 researched routes have been added with a strong focus on the region around Kufstein (A) and Val Varaita (I).

The May focus was on Val Varaita in Piedmont, in line with the major report in the issue N°96 of Ride. The little-known southern valley offers plenty of alpine to high alpine highlights in the face of the Monviso. In addition to the numerous tours in the region, Ride has also produced a spot guide to Val Varaita with an overview of all the important MTB information about the region.

Also included are numerous tours in the Kufstein region with the Kaisergerbirge. The region in the Tyrolean lowlands on the border with the Bavarian Alps offers a wide range of MTB options.

Monte Pelvo (Caramantran)

The Il Pelvo summit is located on the Italian-French border in the Valle Varaita near the Col Agnel and is a hidden trail paradise including a 3000-metre peak that needs to be explored.

At Lake Thumsee, just east of Bad Reichenhall, there are numerous fun trail options. One particularly rewarding combination starts at the idyllic Thumsee lake.

The idyllic Walleralm in combination with the Kreuzbichl and the very technical trail descent to the south offer a perfect all-mountain tour near the Wilder Kaiser.

The Möslalmkogel, Wörgl's local mountain, offers a number of trail combinations, with the descent to the west and the extension via Hennersberg being a highlight in the Tyrolean lowlands.

The round tour from Kirchdorf in Tirol via the Angerlalm to Erpfendorf offers a highlight in the region in terms of panoramic views and trails.

The circular tour from Niederbreitenbach via Thiersee and the technically challenging trail from the Feuerköpfl and back is a classic in the Lower Inn Valley with impressive views from the summit area.

The Wilder Kaiser not only captivates with its impressive appearance, but also with the descents on limestone that appeal to particularly technically minded bikers.

Hochegg – Walleralm

The crossing from the Brentenjoch via the Kaindlhütte to Hochegg offers unique scenic views and a very challenging and technical trail descent that requires good riding technique.

The Juffinger Jöchl is gently and inconspicuously nestled in the Tyrolean lowlands near the Inn Valley and offers a varied and sometimes challenging trail descent, paired with good panoramic views.

Niederkaiser - Granderalm

There are some challenging and inviting mountain bike tours in the vicinity of St. Johann in Tirol, and this circular route via the Niederkaiser and Granderalm is one of the most rewarding in terms of scenery and trails.
