Toblacher Pfannhorn – Silvesteralm
Description
The start is in Dobbiaco. You then pedal relaxed up the Stoneman route on asphalt and gravel, with the route becoming increasingly steeper towards the end. This is how you reach the Bonner Hütte. This is located in the middle of the Villgratner mountains and offers a fantastic panorama of the Sesto Dolomites. From the Bonner Hütte, the bike is then pushed/carried up to the summit of the Toblacher Pfannhorn (2663 meters above sea level). The view is legendary, as is the trail descent. Along the western ridge, you return to the ascent track for a few meters. You then cross below the Toblacher Pfannhorn on the former Vallo-Alpino trail and surf it on difficulty S1 and S2 below the Ternegg and then down the Finanzieri trail. A masterpiece of engineering and road construction in high alpine terrain lies at your feet. Here you can also extend the route via the Blankenstein to the Marchkinkele and then the trail variant from here to the Silvesteralm. Once at the Silvesteralm, there is another short ascent to the Innicher Eck and then classic forest and meadow trails with difficulty levels S1 to S2 back to Dobbiaco. All in all, a very varied and panoramic high-end tour. The trail section is also very important here and there are few counter-climbs in a clockwise direction.
