Monte Nische
Description
Start at the bridge over the Torrente Resia near Prato. From here, it's a relaxed cycle on asphalt to Stolvizza and from here on to Cernapenc. From Cernapenc, the route then climbs moderately up a few hairpin bends to Glivaz di Oseacco di sotto and Glivaz di Oseacco di sopra at just under 900 meters above sea level. A few meters are still relatively easy to pedal here before the route then climbs uphill on an old mule track with a few hairpin bends. On a biobike, the largest number of bends have to be pushed here. With an e-bike, you are clearly on the winning side here. After the saddle the route then heads west below Monte Chila on an old Alpini trail from the First World War to Monte Nische and Casera Nische. Passing some historic buildings, the tour is particularly breathtaking in spring. Countless crocuses sprouting in combination with the rock formations of the Kanin and the foothills of the Alps make this an epic and gigantic sight.
The difficulty of the descent is S2 in the upper section. At the Casera Niche, the route continues in a similar manner with countless hairpin bends to Provalo and then towards Tanaprovalo and civilization in Oseacco. Oseacco is virtually crossed once and the last sections are completed on an inconspicuous trail towards the main road, where the roll-out to the starting point is ultimately just a brake cool-down and a rider airing out.

I think this tour is the perfect e-bike tour. As everywhere in this region, there are places where there is a risk of falling. Safe bike control is absolutely essential.
Our BnB is located about 30 minutes by car from the starting point of this tour and directly on the trail area of Gemona of Friuli.
