The route starts in the small village of Pradis near Moggio Udinese at the entrance to Val Aupa. From here, the route follows asphalt towards Val Alba to the former military barracks at the end of the valley. The Forcella Vualt is only about ten minutes away, before the route then descends steadily to Dordolla on a trail of superlatives.
